What are the different types of double sided foam tape?

We offer a range of double sided foam tapes, including tapes suitable for general lightweight use indoors, weatherproof tapes, and strong high bond tapes.

1. Interior / exterior tapes

Double sided foam tapes that are suitable for indoor and outdoor use (like the Stylus 2000BL Series White Double Sided PE Foam Tape and Kwikseal 5589 Black PE Foam Outdoor Tape) are made of high-density polyethylene foam that is weatherproof and UV and chemical resistant. They have an aggressive acrylic adhesive that is suitable for lightweight mounting applications both indoors and outdoors.

These tapes are built for demanding jobs and environments and are available in a variety of thicknesses. Use them to permanently bond materials, for shock and sound absorption, and for fixing plastics, profiles, aluminium, and metal decorative trims.

2. Indoor tapes

Our indoor foam double sided tapes are made of closed cell PE foam that is coated on both sides with an aggressive acrylic adhesive. 

If you need multipurpose mounting tape suitable for general lightweight use indoors, Nachi 2010R and Stylus 2100 provide excellent adhesion for a variety of projects, especially in the construction industry. Both tapes meet work health and safety (WHS and OH&S) regulations.

• Applying to the back of hanging hooks. (Stylus 2100 is also suitable for adhering mirrors to the wall.)

• Permanent bonding of indoor materials.
• Securing point-of-sale profiles, decals, and nameplates. 
• Weatherproof construction compliant with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances).

3. High bond foam tapes

If you need something substantially stronger, our high bond foam tape range offers extra strength and durability for tasks that need a secure bond without mechanical fasteners such as rivets, screws, or welding. These tapes are suitable for bonding a wide range of substrates for both indoor and outdoor applications and are favoured by the automotive, electronics, engineering, construction, and graphics and signage industries.
