Cloth Tapes
What are Cloth Tapes?
Cloth Tapes are heavy duty and durable tapes made with a strong adhesive and a laminated or policy-coated cloth backing. They can be torn straight by hand and have excellent adhesion, so they can stick to most surfaces both indoor and outdoor and don’t leave residue when removed.
Cloth tapes have many applications and are commonly used for:
- General repair and maintenance applications
- Sealing and joining drop sheets and films
- Bundling irregular shaped items, such as timber, metal or pipes
- Bookbinding
Cloth tape is sometimes referred to interchangeably with Gaffer tape, which are a specialised type of cloth tapes for the entertainment industry.
Different types of Cloth Tape
- Economy cloth tape: Everyday cloth tape for general purpose indoor applications.
- General purpose cloth tape: Suitable for a wide range of everyday indoor and outdoor applications and available in a variety of colours and sizes.
- Premium cloth tape: Premium grade cloth tapes with high tack adhesive. Available in multiple colours and can be custom cut to order.
- Industrial Cloth Tape: Typically used in construction and agriculture. For applications that require extreme strength or cold temperatures.
- Render’s cloth tape: For renderers and concreters needing a tape that adheres to rough and porous surfaces as well as windows, glass and wood.
- Gaffer tape: Specialised cloth tapes for the entertainment industry including the industry favourite, Nashua 357.
